SATs Results
SATs or Standard Assessment Tasks are a means of assessing children's attainment at the end of KS2 (Y6), as children are preparing to leave primary school.
KS2 SATs are tests for Reading, Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation and Maths, administered in the same week, on the same day for each subject across the country in all schools in England. These tests are sent off to be marked. Children's writing is assessed by their Class Teacher, using a range of evidence, rather than a particular test.

The significant improvement in Mathematics results in 2019 is a testament to the development of Mathematics across the school. Writing standards remain consistently high. The development of Reading is a whole school focus this year.
To reach the expected standard in all of Reading, Writing and Maths, a pupil must achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in Reading and Maths tests and an outcome of ‘working at the expected standard’ or ‘working at greater depth’ in writing (Teacher Assessment).
The national figures are provisional at may change slightly after Headteachers have carried out a checking exercise.
KS1 SATs are standard tasks administered in Infant or Primary schools throughout England, but marked internally by the class teacher and used to inform Teacher Assessment. This year an External Moderator appointed by the Local Authority validated Mr Vaughan's judgements.
