Attendance and Pupil Absence
School staff need to know about and record any absences from school. Please let us know if your child will not be attending school and the reasons for this. Please see the link below for a copy of the Request for Absence Form.
The Headteacher is not able to authorise holidays during term time, but please speak to Mrs Savory if your child needs time out of school for other reasons. Depending on the circumstances the absence may be authorised.
If your child is unwell and unable to come to school, please let us know by calling the school office each day of absence on (01453) 762774. Press 1 when you hear the options on the recorded message and you will be able to report an absence by leaving a message.
NHS advice is that children with diarrhoea and/or vomiting should definitely be kept off school until at least 48 hours after their symptoms have gone. Most cases of diarrhoea and vomiting get better without treatment, but if symptoms persist, please consult your GP.
