Revised Behaviour and Discipline Policy

The staff and governors have recently reviewed the school’s Behaviour and Discipline Policy. We have included a section on adult behaviour, as children tend to follow the lead of the grown-ups who look after them, either in school or at home. The majority of parents are good role models in their behaviour and show respect and consideration to others.  Unfortunately, a small number of parents have been overheard using bad language on the school premises and on the lane, in the earshot of children. Please try not to swear or blaspheme in your conversations at the beginning and end of the day. Also, please do not comment negatively, in a way that can be overheard by others, on children, parents, staff or the school in general. If you have an issue, please contact school staff directly and politely. There is an appendix of the at the back of the policy that has other examples of inappropriate behaviour and the sanctions that the school may use if adults in our school community do not follow the school policy. The policy is available here.
