Music

At the Rosary School we recognise the importance of music in the lives of our children.

Children are taught music in class using Charanga Music School. This scheme explores wide variety of musical genres as well as focusing on the key elements of music.

Children have the opportunity to learn guitar, ukulele and piano in school with peripatetic teachers. There is also a choir club which runs weekly throughout the year. The choir perform regularly in the local community and at school events.

Composer of the month:

The children listen to a different composer each month when they come in and out of assemblies.

January 2020 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

December 2019 Zoltan Kodaly

November 2019 Scott Joplin

October 2019 Camille Saint-Saens
