Achievement for All

at the Rosary School

We have tailored the AFA framework to meet the needs of our school and the pupils we wish to support.

Since the academic year 2015/16, we have identified groups of children in our KS2 classes, who would benefit from a boost. Throughout the year, we invite their parents to Structured Conversations where we discuss each child’s strengths and areas for improvement. At these meetings, we agree targets for improvement and provide some intervention work (in small groups) to boost standards.

In addition to the programme resulting in significant improvements in progress and attainment in reading, writing and mathematics, it has also helped to improve school relationships and communication with parents.
